Hyper-Inflation

Have you given any thought to the economic consequences of our government's performance (or interference) on dealing with this recession? Have you contemplated the future value of your resources, the value of your money, or your children's' fate at the hands of a clearly fiscally-out-of-control government that demonstrates to us every day its contempt for you, your children, and grandchildren? Do you believe, like many do, that hyper-inflation will destroy your paycheck, your savings, and your retirement (including Social Security)? What happens to a fiat currency (created and printed by government...our dollar) when it loses its "reserve" status in the world of international currency? Will your money have less purchasing power than it does today?

Central banks (ours is the Fed) control our fate worldwide. The Fed decides what you pay for your house, your car, student loans, what you will earn on your investments, and the value of your money. It is known for manipulating our economy for the purpose of its goal to seize property, acquire businesses, and to control our way of life.

I am not conspiratorially inclined, but I believe that our government, by its reckless monetary policies, has put us in a dangerous position.

Again, this is only my opinion. Do your own research.

Watch the documentary. Its creators may have motives beyond the message, but, who knows, they may be dead on!

A Tyrannical Congress?

After seeing the results of the U.S. House of Representatives vote on the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009, a valid question comes to mind: Are radical liberals completely out of their minds? Only irrational people could cast an unconstitutional vote that clearly encroaches on individual sovereignty and liberty. Only irrational legislators would put the state before the people by use of coercive enforcement measures embedded in radical legislation that will destroy jobs, cause pain by way of a huge tax transfer to all Americans thereby increasing the cost of groceries, heating and lighting homes, commuting to work, and interfering with private property rights. And, only irrational people would support the systematic destruction of our energy delivery infrastructure while demanding that Americans pay for it. This is un-American by any standard!

At some point, Americans will have to start expressing opinions on the undesirable effect that radical liberalism has on both individual liberty and social stability. If not, the nefarious radical liberal agenda will continue to erode the rights of everyone, and ultimately collapse the basic foundations of a mature, civil society.

Speak up! Speak up now! Hold those who work against the rights of Americans accountable for their actions by voting them out of office. Support only the candidates who swear to represent the peoples' interests, who will strictly adhere to the constitution, and those who see government as limited and supportive of conditions that secure everyone's right to run his or her own life.

A tyrannical Congress or a truly representative body? You be the judge.

Government and Media Propaganda

As our nation approaches 10% unemployment and we hear mounting criticisms from many mayors who are now voicing their disapproval of our central government's inability to get "stimulus" money to them, what do you hear from or read in the major media outlets? For that matter, what do you hear from our leader? Not much on both accounts. Rather than doing in-depth investigative reports on the pain and suffering Americans are experiencing due to what I believe to be a government-induced state of malaise, the daily demise of our business and manufacturing industries, or positing objective prognostics on the sad future-state awaiting our children and grandchildren: historically deplorable conditions characterized by the consequences of the excesses of today's politicians...systematic destruction of the time-honored institutions of our society; a weakened and re-structured economy plagued by immense debt and probable hyper-inflation to point out a couple things, what do the media give us? Well, I see really "hard journalism" by way of tailgate parties to hamburger joints and dates with the wife to NYC...dinner and a play. Do you see the same thing, or am I somewhat naive? I see twisted and gross misinformation of what I believe to be intentional manipulation of the truth; I see a great divide between what Americans really believe and what these so-called journalists and government spokesmen report.

We are still free (at this writing) to both express ourselves and select our sources of information. Am I the only one who has given up on giving a modicum of credibility to the major commercial television networks and respect for our newspaper? Shouldn't they be inherently skeptical of government and its agents? Should they accept the ideological propaganda promulgated by government spokespersons and politicians, or should they reject it, or at least challenge it on behalf of the public they serve? Are they in bed with the people they report on? Is their political reporting situational depending on the ideological beliefs of reporters, editors, and the ubiquitous government agent? Are they representing and advancing the "party's" beliefs, hoping to re-shape your thinking? Am I being naive again?

I now get my information from the internet. Or, better yet, I go to the source and ask questions or listen to their remarks firsthand where I can. Politicians and journalists are simply flesh and blood, like you and me. They have no more "real" insight into any of the great issues of the day than we have. They are surrounded by advisors, obsessed with their positions and status, and very well know the power of the press. We have our intellect, our convictions and beliefs, and the power of the vote.

It is our duty to demand more truthfulness and integrity from everyone reporting the news, whether it is the government propagandist or the media zealots we have to painfully endure.

What do you think?

On Individualism

Think about your personal freedoms: life, liberty, property, economic independence, self-reliance, your sovereignty...to mention a few. Now, give some thought to whether government is serving your best interest by overtly and consistently demonstrating its fervor to uphold these so-called "unalienable" rights. Is it adhering to its constitutional duties as a body politic by willing to sacrifice everything to ensure no violation of your rights?

The individual is the primary engine that both creates and drives all aspects of our civil society. If you accept this basic precept, then it logically follows that any policy decision that has been borne by government must always give first importance to the individual, not to a "collective" group, and certainly never to government. In his book "The Liberal Mind," Dr. Rossiter states: "The only legitimate function of government is to foster the lives of citizens by protecting their rights as individuals, not as members of a class or group; no collective cause should be allowed to override those rights." He contends that the "individual, and not a group or collective, must be regarded as the ultimate political unit...and since any rule of government prescribes what individuals must do or not do...it is [then] the individual that must be the primary subject and object of policy decisions, whether they are made in economic, social or political realms. Without this emphasis, the individual may be denied his most fundamental right to life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness. Without these rights he may become, as one writer put it, 'absorbed into the masses.'"

If we accept Dr. Rossiter's argument, then should we deduce that we are at a dangerous place that is counter-intuitive to the basic principles of the charter politicians swear to uphold, our Constitution? Or are politicians now knowingly violating the basic rights of man by putting citizens in convenient "collectivized" compartments?

You be the judge. Is your government serving you, an individual, or are you serving your government as part of a collective group?

Government Health Care versus Individual Liberty

Are the "statists" about to destroy the best health care system on earth? Will you sacrifice more of your individual liberty by conferring decisions about your health care to faceless and mindless bureaucrats? Will you willingly accept "socialized" medicine (yes, that means the government owns it) without uttering a word of objection? Will you be satisfied with medical rationing, loss of services and sub-standard health care? Are you prepared to offer-up by way of increased taxation on you and your family more than two trillion dollars over the next decade to pay for government health care?

Ideologues seem to be laying the ground-work to re-shape our civil society into a distorted and unrepresentative transmogrification of what will soon become a distant memory of a great medical delivery system. These politicians ignore the will of the people and thereby violate their oaths of office while continuing to intentionally manipulate Americans at every opportunity.

Government, although absolutely necessary, should be limited and in no way should be the source of many of our problems. Do you agree?
